Seasoning your Craft Crickets

El Dorado Crickets

To keep our crickets simple and healthy, our seasoned Craft Crickets are only lightly seasoned.  We simply sprinkle the seasoning on the crickets before we bake them; we use no oils or fats to affix the seasoning to the crickets.  As a result, you get a low fat, protein-rich snack with some mild flavors.

Sometimes we would prefer to have more flavor.  When we want more flavor, we take a bag of our Natural crickets and add more seasoning to them in one of two ways.

1.  Low Fat Option:  Take the Natural crickets and put them in a Tupperware jar.  Add favorite seasonings.  Shake the Jar.

2.  Higher Fat Option (fantastically delicious):

                    a)  In a bowl, mix crickets with desired spices.

                    b)  In a pan, heat up and melt some butter under low heat.

                    c)  Once the butter is melted, proceed to cook the crickets at low heat for about five minutes, stirring constantly.

                    d)  Add salt and pepper to your liking

Below are some of our customers' favorite seasoning ideas.
